Epic Selfies and Road Trips: Capturing Memories on the Go

Chapter 1: The Selfie Adventure Begins
Last year, I proposed to Briana that we start snapping selfies during our road trips, and while we've had our fair share of fun, there are moments when we forget. If we happen to be nearby, we might make a return trip just to capture that perfect self-portrait. Otherwise, there’s always another journey ahead.
I thought it would be a lovely way for Briana to cherish our endless travels, and she was on board right away. Briana is the true expert when it comes to selfies—my phone photography skills are decent, but selfies? That's a different story.
If only I had the dexterity of opposable thumbs!
Recently, I decided to enhance our photo collection by purchasing a digital picture frame from Amazon. To my surprise, it arrived just four hours after I placed the order—talk about speedy service!
Briana turned in early that night—she's approaching 33, after all—allowing me to set up the frame and upload photos from my phone. If I can manage it, it can't be too complicated!
While I’d like to say we've explored all of New England, there are still so many destinations on our list. This Memorial Day weekend, we’re heading to Old Orchard Beach in Maine, conveniently located just minutes from the impressive 600-foot pier extending into the ocean.
Next weekend, we'll be going our separate ways. Briana will be heading south with a colleague for a conference, while I’ll be left to figure out my own plans.
We’ve already visited all six New England states, but there’s always more to discover. This summer, we’re planning a return trip to Flume Gorge in New Hampshire, a family tour of Plymouth, and a hike up Mount Greylock, the highest peak in Massachusetts. I’ll be bringing my camera along, and Briana will be capturing selfies to fill her digital frame. I look forward to creating even more memories together.
To wrap things up, I’ll share a few more of our selfies. After all, what’s the point of taking them if I don’t show them off?
Some of you might have noticed that my hairline is receding—it's been quite a journey over the past 60 years! Who knows, one day I might end up looking like Mr. Clean, complete with an earring. But I’m not vain enough to let it grow out for a comb-over.
Thanks for joining me on this adventure!
