A World Built on Disposability: The Palestinian Tragedy
Written on
In today's geopolitical landscape, the lives of Palestinians are tragically deemed expendable.
> In the pursuit of peace and prosperity, the dominant powers within this globalized capitalist framework have convinced their followers that the weak and impoverished must be eradicated to achieve this envisioned utopia. This mindset has facilitated the atrocities faced by Indigenous populations in the Americas, the enslavement of Africans, and now, the ongoing genocide we witness today.

April 24, 2024, was marked by numerous significant events worldwide. The colonial Israeli regime persisted in its genocidal actions in Palestine; meanwhile, US law enforcement arrested students and faculty for their peaceful protests against these atrocities. The US Congress also passed a military aid bill benefiting both Israel and Ukraine, while the British Parliament clandestinely endorsed a measure to deport refugees to Rwanda.
“It’s a good day for world peace,” proclaimed aging US President Joe Biden as he read from a prepared statement regarding the US$95.34 billion foreign aid bill. “It’s going to make the world safer and reinforces America’s leadership globally,” he asserted, adding that the bill would assist US allies in defending themselves against threats.

While Congress members voted to uphold Israel’s "self-defense," a mass grave containing over 300 bodies, including women and children, was unearthed in Southern Gaza near Al-Shifa Hospital, which had recently been seized by the Israeli Defense Forces under the guise of "self-defense."
Simultaneously, heavily armed US riot police conducted raids on college campuses nationwide, resulting in over 550 arrests. These individuals were merely advocating for an end to US support for the genocide in Palestine.
Across the ocean, the British Parliament quietly passed legislation allowing for the "legitimate" deportation of refugees to Rwanda, justified under the pretense of "humanitarian" and "development" motives.
Similar to the US aid bill that claims to foster global peace and safety, the U
