The vastness of the ocean is both beautiful and enigmatic, much like the man I loved. His life was like an antique locket, its secrets tucked away in a wooden box, untouched and concealed. Despite being his girlfriend for three years, he chose to keep me at arm's length, withholding the truths of his existence.

I often wondered if he shed tears in my absence. His eyes sometimes appeared red and swollen, hinting at unspoken sorrow. Yet, he remained a closed bud, unwilling to bloom no matter how much time passed. His beauty was undeniable, yet it coexisted with his hidden struggles.

His eyes, a striking blue, held an emptiness that spoke volumes. The brilliance within him was trapped, with no apparent escape. I felt as if I was submerged in the same depths as he was. I yearned to save him, but I was lost on how to do so. I questioned why I remained by his side, while he held my hand and placed soft kisses on my neck.

Being with him brought a sense of calm to my heart, allowing me to breathe amid the chaos. Even as we both sank deeper, he was the one who provided me with the air I needed to survive. His selflessness was evident; he prioritized my well-being, oblivious to the fact that he was the one who truly needed rescue.

I often thought, "Just let me go..." but my selfishness held me back. I wanted to navigate the ocean of life together, yet he seemed intent on pushing me to the surface while I inadvertently pulled him under, hoping to keep us entwined forever.
