Chapter 1: The Impact of Sports on My Life
Engaging in sports opened the door to health, fitness, and a myriad of dreams I never knew existed.
Sports instilled in me a sense of playfulness in life, making me feel invincible, liberated, and full of vitality. My passion for track and field, alongside martial arts, dates back to my early years, perhaps even before I was born. The sheer joy radiating from my heart intensified each time I immersed myself in athletic activities. My muscles would tense in anticipation, whether I was sprinting on the track or executing kick after kick. My enthusiasm was so profound that I not only aspired to emulate champions like Yelena Isinbayeva and Bruce Lee, but I also envisioned myself in their roles.

However, sports also brought heartache, showing me that while some dreams may remain unfulfilled, they often serve as catalysts for other ambitions yet to be realized. Although I didn’t become a world-class athlete, I emerged stronger, my character evolving beyond those early dreams—perhaps life itself redirected my aspirations.

Section 1.2: A New Chapter in College
After high school, my desire to run led me to college track and field tryouts, though I didn’t make the team. My college years saw a decline in my physical activity, and consequently, my health suffered until martial arts re-entered my life. During high school, martial arts had supplemented my running training, but in college, it transformed into a newfound passion. The idea of becoming like Bruce captivated me. Martial arts had no prerequisites; I merely needed to be myself, connect with my body, and move freely. It felt liberating, yet I didn’t achieve the level of excellence I envisioned, as life’s journey took unexpected turns.
