Discovering My "Why": The Driving Force Behind My Journey

Chapter 1: My Journey to Resilience
Life has thrown me down more times than I can count.
While I recognize that a significant portion of these setbacks (about 91.7%) were consequences of my own missteps or misunderstandings, I refuse to dwell on that. What matters is that I always rise again, shake off the dust, and continue forward.
Why do I persist?
Because giving up has never been on the table for me. Long before my husband and kids came into the picture, I was resolute in my refusal to accept defeat. You might label it stubbornness or determination; I call it my driving force. The thought of failure fuels my motivation.
Currently, I am working toward achieving a full-time income that would allow me to leave my job behind, ideally earning as much, if not more, than what I currently make. It’s not that I dislike my job; rather, I find it disheartening to work for others and help them succeed while I remain in the background.
Success is a choice, and I wholeheartedly believe in that notion.
You hold the power to take risks, to invest your efforts, and to do whatever it takes to reach your goals. I have made my choice: I write daily, publish my books as I create them (though my latest book is facing some template issues—frustrating!), and I engage with Xcelerate. Collectively, these efforts are beginning to supplement my income, bringing in around $100 weekly from Xcelerate and an additional $50–100 monthly from my writing. It’s not much yet, but every journey begins with a single step.
So, let’s talk about my "why."
My reason for pushing forward is to demonstrate to my children that, with dedication and time, they can achieve any goal they set for themselves. I want them to understand that taking risks is not only acceptable but encouraged, and that even when faced with naysayers, anything is possible.
Additionally, I can’t wait to celebrate my successes with my husband, who tends to be a bit skeptical about my aspirations! Maybe it’s just the inner child in me wanting to shout, "I did it!"
